Writing this now as a graduate of Artist, Designer; Maker feels alien to an extent. I have had on-going battles with my chronic ill health, enabling me to become resilient as an undergraduate student and illustrator, because I have had the determination and stubborness to pursue my dreams and to continue building my skill sets despite my BA taking me six years to complete.
I am incredibly proud of this body of work, and even more so proud to be apart of such a talented cohort of Makers this year. I am proud of myself for my perservereance, which has allowed me to finally say I am now a graduate student of Cardiff Metropolitan University.
However, my journey with The Little Spaceman is far from over, as I am embarking on a Masters at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Illustration & Animation this coming September. I am also applying to independent publishers in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of becoming a published author.
I currently have a small selection of my illustrations, alongside the children's book, displayed in Craft In The Bay's 'Emerging Makers 2021' exhibition and I was chosen to feature as part of Cardiff Met's CSAD Feature Students Series on Instagram.
